Wednesday Night Bible Study and Small Groups
Every week we have a great meeting at our Bear location. We start with a devotional and break into five different groups as a church. Within these groups, we learn from each other as these are open discussion groups. So be prepared to have a great time getting into the Word and hearing from other believers how it can change lives!
Our Passion at the Bridge is two-fold.
1. We desire to love God supremely.
The Greatest Commandment that we have been given is to love the Lord with all of our heart, soul, and strength. Christianity is much more than a formal religion. It is a fervent relationship between God and His children. We want to be able to echo the words of the Psalmist, as the deer panteth for the water, so longeth my soul after thee. Our first passion is to love God Supremely.
2. We desire to love others equally.
The second commandment is to love our neighbor as we would love ourselves. So often the church is known for the wrong reasons, or maybe not the right reason. Jesus didn’t say that we should be recognized for our beautiful facilities, our refined speeches, our amazing music, or even our fashionable wardrobe. He said, "by this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, by your love one to another." We want to love people; we want to love them the way God loves them. We want to love with passion and without preference, until they are drawn into an even greater love: the love of God. Our passion is to love God supremely and to love others equally.
What to Expect at the Bridge:
A warm and sincere smile at our door. We love to have fun, but we take worshiping and the Word seriously.
Our music will not remind you of a rock concert or a pipe organ. We have a blend of contemporary songs and traditional hymns. We admit that worship is not about us, but the One being worshiped.
Our attire is as diverse as our audience. On any given Sunday you will see someone with jeans and a tshirt sitting in the same row as someone with a suit and tie. We believe in modesty and decency, but we are convinced that God is much more concerned with the heart of a person than their clothes.
We believe that our message should be a Biblical Blend of Truth and Love. It seems as if some are capable of telling the truth, but are not concerned about people. While others appear to love people, but are reluctant to speak the truth. At The Bridge we are committed to loving people so much that we are willing to tell them the truth. Our goal is to deliver the truth in love
